Ahh, how sweet! A new image has emerged of Wills and Kate Middleton, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, taking a bit of a head-clearing walk around Holyrood Park in Edinburgh, just after attending the wedding of Zara Phillips to Mike Tindall. Much has been made of the 'matching' outfits they are wearing, but anyone can see that Wills is in a blue shirt and darker blue jumper with chinos while Kate's jumper is purple, her shirt white and her jeans skinny. I am sort of being sarcastic. But I think what is really important here is that they hang out together, taking walks and holding hands. Sometimes that's all it takes to be in style.
Kate wore that jumper again the next day when she went to Tesco to get the breakfast cereal. This time, the jeans were lighter, a cute check scarf added and some ballet pumps finish the look. Casual, exactly what you would wear if you were a housewife in North Wales.
Sometimes it really is awesome to post pics of ordinary people going about their ordinary business, looking quite lovely.
PS: Despite these looks, Kate has just been named on the annual Vanity Fair International Best Dressed List for 2011, so she must be doing something right.
