BAFTAS Brits to Watch in Hollywood Gala with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
On Saturday night, the Hollywood stars were out-starred for once in their lives, by a royal Prince and his wife from the suburbs of England. The newly crowned Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) totally took the most cynical people's breath away as they turned up to celebrate the wealth of young British talent in Hollywood at the BAFTA event. Kate wore the palest lavender, pleated-bodice dress by Alexander McQueen, with her Jimmy Choo shoes and clutch and her chandelier earrings that she borrowed from HRH The Queen.
Aside from her royal Kateness, the other best dressed peeps on the red carpet were the following:
Blake Lively in Marchesa grecian drapery and beading. Unbelievable, sublime and so perfect on a sun-kissed California girl. This is what it takes to wear pale colours. And she got to hang out with Chuck Bass/Ed Westwick. Yum.
Nicole Kidman also knocked it out with Elie Saab. That beautiful draped back detail being a real highlight. And it seemed to have worked. Nicole was photographed speaking to both William and Kate on the night.
Jennifer Garner looked absolutely stunning. That's all. Incredible.
Zooey Deschanel was dazzling in an Oscar de la Renta tea dress with scalloped hem. I loved it.
My favourite person in Hollywood, Cat Deeley wore sherbet-blue Dior and looked beautiful.
And a new face to watch — actress daughter of a doctor from Cape Town — Gugu Mbatha-Raw looked sensational in electric blue Reem Acra.
