Where once there was little more than a dodgy tourist canteen to get your chips and soda pop at the top of the most beautiful mountain in the world, now there is a stylish cafe — more befitting to the incredible splendour of the view.
Last night I was lucky enough to be invited to take a trip up Table Mountain to sip on some bubbles and taste the food. Sushi, pizza, gourmet sandwiches and yummy veggie crisps were all on offer, and quite delicious.
And if you have never seen a cold front moving into the Cape — from above — this was definitely the place to do it.
A stunning evening and a great new spot on the Cape Town map. And next month they will be starting the sunset trips up — definitely something to pencil in for this summer.
