The new Wallpaper magazine is a wonderful celebration of all things South African. Well, actually only 20 things, but it will do. And how appropriate to have a clean, crisp cover featuring our beloved Cape Town stadium with a model dressed by a local designer in the foreground.
And the lucky designer to be chosen for this privilage? Our very own, most admired local chap and blog fan favourite, Mr Stiaan Louw.
After a relatively quiet year, this is how he busts out? Well worth the wait, I'd say.
And he has a new collection on the go with hints at draping, minimalism, Indian and Masai influences, collaborations with incredible local jewellery maker, Ida Elsje, stainless steel frames (?) and very short shorts, I can't wait to see how this all comes together.
Maybe we will even get a sneak peek early just for you?? A girl can only ask...
