I know that Mr Price doesn't seem like an obvious show to comment on from SA Fashion Week, but there are several reasons why it deserves to be. As the sponsors of the Elle New Talent search, they had an opportunity to showcase their ideas for the next season. And we watched with interest.
I believe that this is the first collection shown at fashion week by Amber Jones, who we featured for her personal style here on the blog in August. And it was pretty good. Thoughtfully styled, appropriately on-trend and commercial, there was a level of quirky detailing that actually made it a pleasure to watch.
Amber is also largely responsible for Mr Price's refreshing fashion blog www.inthefashionloop.com and I am a fan of her style and class.
So keep an eye out for soft denim pieces, geek prints, an anchor of utility khaki and the longer skirt, shorter short and full on jumpsuit for next autumn at Mr Price. Well done Amber.
