Store of the Day: MeMeMe

I met Doreen Southwood at the Virgin Mobile Cape Town Fashion week where she showed her new spring summer collection at the close of Day 1. A lovely lady, with beautiful girlie dresses and tunics in monochrome and a healthy dash of gingham check.

Doreen owns the store MeMeMe and you can buy her super goodies at this store. You can also pick up some other cracking pieces, most notably from a blog favourite designer Pink Ant. Ladies those volume skirts are fabulous and worth a try if you go and check out the store.

Quirky shoes and accessories are also available and the store can be found on the corner of the Church Street market and Long Street, in the middle of the city centre.

Sadly on the day that I popped in and asked if I could take some photos for the blog, Doreen was not there. Her new manager was, however, and she did make rather an unpleasant scene while I was snapping away in her full view, being extremely rude and cutting to the lady who has worked at the store for some time. Very unnecessary behaviour.

A Style Guide 3*/5 for this lovely little store — but only marked down due to new management.
