Deauville Film Festival: Emma Stone and The Help
Contentious the subject matter may be, but the film The Help is breaking box office records. And just this weekend, the cast hit up the Deauville Film Festival in France to promote the movie. In particular Emma Stone, the young star, stood out. She wore that gorgeous white silk chiffon dress by Dolce & Gabbana to the early photo call. It's cute and comfortable and saved from being too 'virginal' by the pattern and in general she just looks lovely.
She broke out the mustard Roland Mouret maxi dress later for the screening and I think that it was a brilliant look. First of all let's comment on the design detail — the pockets, the slit, the neckline. Now let's look at the accessories — the Alexander McQueen knuckle duster clutch and the Guiseppe Zanotti strappy shoes — both incredible and belong in my wardrobe.
I also wanted to call attention to the dress she wore in the US to promote The Help. It's one of my favourite looks of the year — that bright pink Christopher Kane pleated hem dress and acid green Brian Atwood pumps. Seriously. Can you do better than that?
