Photographed looking utterly spectacular at the premier of The Tempest at the 67th Venice Film Festival last night, Dame Helen Mirren reminded me that older does not mean less stylish. Marchesa are responsible for the dress, shawl and clutch. Dame H herself is responsible for the wicked twinkle in her eye, the aging with dignity and the refusal to give in to common expectations. I love her. And I really, really want to be something like her in twenty years time. Or a reasonable facsimile.
