I don't love American suburban style in general. Mostly it is too preppy, too perfectly coordinated, too NICE. But I think that Reece Witherspoon does it well. It is just accessible enough to be suitable for most young mums, yet with her own punch of colour or touch of sloppy that makes it actually wearable, signature style. This is how you do it for yourself. Reece always wears flats when she is off-duty. But she does interesting things with it. In fact her selection of leather strappy gladiators is impressive. She takes a pair of white jeans and rolls them slightly at the ankle instead of wearing a cropped trouser — knowing that those proportions probs won't work that well on her. Clever. The cardigan and layered vests indicating it is the weekend, but style added through the several gold chains. And a punch of colour here and there ensuring it never gets boring. Last summer Reece wore a lot of cute shirt dresses. This summer she has been all about the shorts and the jeans. If you like Reece's style, grab a couple of button down shirts. Add in a skinny white or coloured jean and find some shorts that work. Just wear with your gladiators from last season and fling on a linen scarf or a bunch of necklaces and you are set. Reece-style. Do it.
