Katie Holmes is one of those girls. You know the ones. You can't quite work out for yourself how you feel about her. I loved her in Dawsons Creek. She is so very pretty. But there is the whole Tom Cruise thing and she tends to wear some super-odd outfits at times. So I can't make up my mind.
But then I realised something, As gorgeous and toned and slim as she is, her top half of her body is disproportionately slimmer than the bottom half. Which means that, in simple terms, her legs are not her best feature. And so, when I flick back across all her outfits that I skewed my face up to, they are ALL dresses or skirts!
Every time I think to myself, wow, that Katie Holmes looks lovely, she is wearing trousers. Especially when she wears trousers that sit quite high up on her waist, thereby elongating her legs.
Look at her trouser outfits just this past week. Lovely straight leg jeans and an awesome silk blouse with a cool hat — and she's all young, hip, yummy mummy. Bootleg jeans and a shirt, clutching her iPad — all relevant young woman on the go.  And awesome Isabel Marant red leather pants and Madewell jumper worn on Jay Leno's show on Tuesday night to me said, "fashion-forward, chic young actress." I know that this alone will not entirely convince you, but I have declared myself a fan of Katie Holmes in trousers. There, I've said it. What do you say?
