Welllll, we have been following Cameron Diaz's global tour of outfits in promotion of her new film Bad Teacher. And to start with there were some very short rompers. We have all tried to overlook those. As soon as she returned to her favoured jeans and short dresses routine, we started seeing some style magic. She really does have such natural elegance in a pair of jeans and heels — I am not sure she has any competition in this area.
She returned to New York this week and had about five or six wardrobe changes in two days for all her appearances. But what I have liked about this tour is that she only really had three pairs of shoes with her — all of which were worn multiple times. She also takes that Levi's jacket with her everywhere and then just trades it up (for Elizabeth and James in this case) when she needs to smarten up. She has worn her monochrome pieces regularly as well — the white jeans, the black pants, the black top, the white tee have all been recycled through the looks. These are such great basic lessons for us all. You can actually travel the world for two weeks on four pairs of shoes people! No, you really do not need all nine of them...
