One of my great style inspirations, Iris Apfel, has launched a line of jewellery at the grand old age of 88. Not only do I hope that I will be as active and engaged with fashion in my eighties as she is, but I also yearn to be able to dress like her. She is just wonderful. You remember, I blogged on her last week when she inspired me to wear men's jeans. You know, with a turban. Ha.
The new jewellery line is called Rara Avis, will go on sale in September and will comprise thirteen pieces including these wonderfully bont necklaces, with elements of vintage and modern worked into the design, as you would expect from someone with so much life experience!

She said at the launch, "One can change the entire look of an outfit by substituting one accessory for another. I love objects from different worlds, different eras, combined my way. Never uptight, achieving — hopefully — a kind of throwaway chic." Doesn't it just sound perfect?
