Like yin and yang, the two best dressed women on the Kids' Choice Awards 2011 this weekend, were Selena Gomez and Heidi Klum. The young, virginal, cute, Disney-star girlfriend of Justin Bieber, Selena turned up in white. Lovely organza blouse and adorable shorts with fantastic turquoise shoes. What a winning combination — and so easy for my young readers to emulate as well. Apparently this weekend is going to be sunny in Cape Town, so break out the white shorts, gang.
And like a polar opposite, Heidi Klum, older, wiser, mother, entrepreneur rocked out in a brilliant black shift with beaded neck and shoulders — and the best bit of all — pockets. Practical, pretty and age-appropriate, this is a dress that would feel very at home in my wardrobe. Love it. Very well played, both ladies.

But let's not forget my totally favourite fantasy friend right now, Sofia Vergara. Simple, pretty and streamlined in her skinny jeans and vest. You can tell she has been sticking to that workout programme of hers that she kicked off at new year. Kudos lady.
