They say there is nothing like a dame. And when it comes to fashion these days, there really isn't anyone quite like Dame Helen Mirren. If someone suggested to you that a 60-something year old woman would look fantastic — nay totally rad — in a Dolce & Gabbana leopard print dress and leather biker jacket, you would splutter and shake your head vehemently to indicate that this was a very bad idea. Wouldn't you? But if you heard it was Dame H, you would probs give it a chance. And you would be right to do so because she looks amazing.
She wore that to the London premier of her new movie Arthur. Earlier that day she also swore on national television. Naughty, naughty girl! But she looked so gorgeous doing it, I am pretty sure all was forgiven. The yellow cardigan and full circle skirt — on trend, appropriate and totes delightful. Dame Helen is definitely one of my style heros. So want to be her when I grow up.
