Uber-boss Oprah appears to be doing us older fashionistas a solid this week. The Twitterverse was alive with tweets yesterday from the older supers like Beverly Johnson and Christie Brinkley who were heading off to Chicago to shoot with Oprah for her new network. Apparently she is doing a reunion show with the supermodel legends and taking us behind the scenes with Christie at her home.
It is due to air in the States later this week — so hopefully we will see it in about a year. I am a little beside myself. These women were the strongest and the best at a time when modern fashion was being invented. As trend swings back to the late 70s next season, it is a good reminder that these are the women that made this trend happen.
PS: I do a flawless Christie Brinkley ramp walk circa 1982. If I ever see you out and about and I have had a few drinks, ask me to do it for you!
