A Small Matter of "Just Because You Can Doesn't Mean You Should"
So here's the thing. I think that Cameron Diaz has one of the most toned, athletic, smokin' bodies in showbiz. And, as a teenager in the 80s, I worshiped at the temple of the work-out queen, Ms Jane Fonda. I admire them both enormously and respect the choices that they have made in their lives that render them fit and fabulous, no matter their age.
But just because they can show their hot bodies off, does it really mean that they should choose the tiniest, tightest micro-shorts in the world? Or in 73-year-old Jane's case, a leather mini skirt and over-the-knee boots? Hmmmm. I really believe in timeless style and choices with dignity, so I have a problem with these. Someone recently commented that class will always equal style and I agree.
Look how amazing Jane looks in the hot sequin trousers — trendy and age-appropriate and it shows off her honed bod. And for a change, Madge gets it right too — dressing in an amazing coat that looks elegant and on-trend.
But this is just my opinion. What do you guys think? Vote Class Forever or You've Earned It?
PS: I may be a bit tetchy with Cameron due to the fact that she is kissing The Clooney in that pic. But whatevs.
