Tom Ford's Women's Spring 2011 Collection — At Last We See It

You may remember the hullabaloo at New York Fashion Week when Tom Ford returned to designing women's wear for the first time in six years. But. Only a very select group of people were invited to the presentation, which was modelled by Beyonce and Julianne Moore, amongst others. And do you remember that no one was allowed to take photos and nothing was leaked to the press (no one wants to run afoul of Mr Ford, duh)? Most frustrating for all.
Well, two months on, and some images shot by Steven Meisel, featuring Mr Ford himself have been released to Vogue.com. Are you wondering why I am calling him Mr Ford? Well, here is a quote from the article that accompanied the photos, "He objects to the way the Internet eats up fashion images before the clothes can be bought. He despises sections of the press. Private and formal are terms he favors now. And he’d rather people didn’t “Tom” him anymore. At 49, he lets it be known he prefers “Mr. Ford.”
Well. I am assuming I am not on his Christmas card list then.
But what of the clothes. Ahhhh. This is a perfect season for his 70s-inspired opulent pants suits, his slashed to the navel disco dresses. For that, and A Single Man, we forgive Mr Ford much.
Models include Stella Tennant, Karen Elson, Amber Velletta.
