I think that it is interesting that their rings have much in common — and I am always on the look out for a style trend.
Let us examine the ring evidence. First they have both received an engagement ring with a non-traditional stone — in Jessica's case it was a ruby and in Kate's a sapphire. And second, these stones are both flanked by diamonds of a very high quality. I think that it is obviously both rings are super exclusive and expensive — but can be easily replicated with lower quality gems for the mass market.
