Meet the Hilfigers — a Family of Tailgaters

I am very taken with the newer campaigns from Tommy Hilfiger. Devised as a series of portraits of a well dressed Wes Anderson-esque family, whose motto in this iteration is 'tailgatius ultimatus', the faux Latin for the best of the American sporting tradition of braaing at the sports field out the back of the truck.
(I found this out when I worked with a bunch of Texans. I always thought 'tailgating' was pushing through the barriers or gates on someone else's card swipe but apparently this is not how the Americans understand it, so in this instance, let's just go with their version.)
Now launching for the holidays, the TV campaign is called “feast interruptus”, and continues this tradition of family gatherings with an undercurrent of dark humour and strange pairings. The clothing is, as ever, quirky but impeccable and you really feel like it would be fun to be a part of that crowd.
