Campaign Monday: Valentino for Gap

Everyone has been so pre-occupied by the awesomeness of Lavin for H&M that the rather more subdued seven-piece Valentino for Gap collection seems to have slipped under the radar.
Developed as a celebration of the arrival of Gap in Italy, this small-but-perfectly-formed collection was conceived of by Valentino's creative directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli. They explain:
'Valentino and Gap synthesise the current trend of combining luxury with basics. We wanted to mix traditionally high-end elements with Gap's celebrated street style, to create couture looks with a contemporary attitude.'
The Valentino for Gap collection will be available from November 27 at a limited number of stores worldwide: Gap's new Milan store, Colette in Paris, and, in Britain, Gap's flagship store in Oxford Street, London W1, from 9.30am, and at Dover Street Market, London W1, from 11am. For those of you traveling abroad — we expect a full report back!
