So Justin Bieber won all the prizes at the 2010 Annual American Music Awards. Whatevs. The child had a good day out and leaves us to focus on the important things — the frocks. So who wore what successfully? This is my top 3:
In first place is the delight that is the new Mrs Brand, Katy Perry, who wore the new length. No gimmicks. No cartoons this time. Just a very pretty dress in the new length and she looked divine.
A gently preggers Mrs Hart, aka Pink, is in second place looking splendid in a simple, yet sexy black dress. Also no frills or fuss or games. Flattering and just risque enough. And I like the hair. This is a woman who has made her name as an entertainer and I fully get the combination of gorgeous, simple dress and striking hair. Nay, I may actually prefer it.
And then coming in at a surprise third is the creature that feels like the only girl in the, Rihanna. I think that the proportions on this dress are perfection. I like the colour and the soft train. I am not crazy about the sheer/pattern malarkey but it totally works here. And the perm? Well, take a bow, Riri. Somehow you made it look cool. WARNING: don't try this at home kids!
PS: I know some folks loved the Taylor Swift. I felt meh about it. Heidi Klum or Whitney Port would have made up the top five. Just FYI.
