US Elle November 2011 Women in Hollywood Issue
So Jennifer Aniston covers US Elle's Women in Hollywood issue for November 2011. And if you thought her vest was just a vest, think again. It is a Balmain vest. And those weirdly cute shorts are Balenciaga. Yup. No holding back here. I have to say, I am not madly keen on the coyness of this pose and I LOVED the Marie Claire cover when she was happy and dancing just a few months ago. But the clothes are good, and with a list like that of awesome women on the cover, why of course I am going to buy it.
Viola Davis (currently starring in The Help), wears a stunning metallic Lanvin dress, and the divine Elizabeth Olsen is wearing a Calvin Klein primrose yellow jumper for their portraits.
The ageless beauty that is Michelle Pfeiffer wears a 1950s vintage dress and one of my new favourites Freida Pinto stuns in a bright print Ginvenchy dress and a tuxedo jacket by 3.1 Phillip Lim. Incredible.
Also featured are Naomi Watts — wearing Calvin Klein basics and then those super sexy Guiseppe Zanotti for Balmain lace-up boots. And the latest ingenue to capture the movie maker's imagination, Evan Rachel Wood. Who is wearing Stella McCartney and that t-shirt by American Apparel.
Every single one of these women is worth a read on their own, all with a story to tell and substance to them. Having all of them together is a coup. Brilliant. Can't wait to get my hands on it. A triumph.
