Last week's UK Grazia Magazine named South African Yolandi Vi$$er, one third of global music phenomenon Die Antwoord, as their girl crush of the week.
In the piece Polly Vernon, also deputy editor of The Observer Magazine, mentioned that even though the music was "a bit odd" that Yolandi was showing "definite fashion icon potential."
Now far be it for me to question any accolades received by local girls-made-good, but I really must question what evidence there is for this. Or has zef style now gone global? Golly, that would be troubling for a fashion editor. But I can roll with it.
