The Art of Fashion

Freida Pinto in Stella McCartney. Twice. In One Week.

There is something about Freida Pinto that makes me think that she is one of us. You know, just a girl from the distant semi-third world lands that makes it good in Hollywood/Paris quite by chance. That she is apparently gracious, dignified and possessed of good manners also endears her to me.
She has also embraced designer Stella MacCartney, principaled and real. This week in the Hamptons at the International Film Festival where her new movie Miral premiered, she wore McCartney twice to equally good effect. Simple, civilised lengths, elegant. It suits her and gives so many young women across the globe, but particularly in the far flung forgotten lands, someone to look up to, aspire to and admire. For all the right reasons. She is my style hero today.
