Last night I went to a very lovely soiree where I bumped into a model that I have thoroughly enjoyed working with before. Personally I think that he is one of the most beautifully mannered, good fun, pro guys in town. He was on the cover of Men's Health for October. His name is Warren McAslen. And I had just seen the great profile Man of the Cloth had just written about him here. Now the thing is, I had news for him last night.
I had just discovered that not only did we both share a birthday with our old friend, stylist Dirk de Waal, but we also shared it with international Sports Illustrated swimsuit supermodel, Dominique Piek. Dominique lives in the States now, but originally hails from the Strand, here in Cape Town. Her dad was my dentist at one point. And she has just shot the Ralph Lauren Denim Fall 2010 campaign — and nabbed the superstar sports boyfriend.
And there we all are, come 13th July 2011, there are going to be some fashion parties!
