You know amongst your friends there is always someone who is obviously the "Carrie" and someone who totally identifies with "Charlotte" and one of you is the "Samantha" although no one wants to embrace it too eagerly. But no one is ever willingly "Miranda". The hard-nosed lawyer always got the worst of the outfits throughout the TV series. She was painted as quite an uptight, unsympathetic character. And I was always told I was the Miranda. Of course.
But I have now got my comeuppance. First of all that dreadful SATC2 movie was a winner for me for one reason — Miranda got the BEST outfits. I mean seriously — that 'Out of Africa' jacket and skirt ensemble? Loved it.
And now Cynthia Nixon seems to be following suit. Putting aside her rather faded red hair (a pity), this Carolina Herrera dress from the runway summer 2010, looked spectacular. Serious and beautiful. An appropriate dress for a woman who is talented, making her own choices in life and have a ball. Literally.
I'll stop it now.
