No question, the girls in London are wearing little floral dresses. They are wearing them over jeans, leggings (yes, still) and with their bare legs and gladiator sandals or ballet pumps. The best ones are available from Topshop, like the one I bought here. They are generally cotton or silk and feature small blooms and sprigs. Very pretty.
Also hot are silk blouses — definitely making a come back. Usually featuring ruffles or frills or bows. Sometimes in a paisley fabric too. Zara has the best of these.
Sadly, also widely available on the UK high street are the tiniest ruffled rah-rah skirts in every colour of the rainbow. Really, they shouldn't have. And almost as bad are the range of playsuits (or romper suits as I like to call them) which abound — luckily I haven't actually seen anyone wear one yet.
