So we are all still watching American Idol and wondering why, when all that's left is some child country singers and that growling Hayley. Although I actually kinda like her and hope she wins. But my favourites have all gone, including Jacob Lusk, Paul McDonald and James Durbin. Gone. Sad. The reason why we are all still watching is probably got something to do with the panel of judges. Who knows what gobbledegook old Steven Tyler is going to utter and what fabulous scarf he will wear. Also Jennifer Lopez. Stunning, brilliant, awesome, glowing Jennifer Lopez. In sequin.
And of course J-Lo has a couple of singles out at the moment so she is doing the circuit promoting them. And performing them in a series of revealing outfits. Sequined naturally.

All of this is a far cry from the image released this past week on one of the talk shows she appeared on. It is a screen grab from the 1991 American Music Awards. She was a backup dancer for New Kids on the Block. I swear. Those are Dr Martens, folks. No sequin to be seen.
