As of this minute this cover of T — the New York Times magazine — featuring Cate Blanchett is my favourite ever cover image. It is unexpected, slightly throwing you off-balance, but drawing you in. The mop of hair in disarray is the opposite of her usual demeanour, all sleek and poised. But it is that smile that is the winner. Not only am I loving the smiling fashion pics, but on a cover it is so much more accessible and warming and inclusive. You really feel she is going to tell you something on the inside. You feel that you have seen something real and personal. Loves it.
