You guys are all going to thank me come next summer and you will be able to buy wonderful palazzo pants from local designers. I have made it my mission over the last month to encourage the ones I think will do a good job. I go up to them and say, "I have two words for you — palazzo pants." Then they look at me blankly. And I say, "palazzo pants, that's what you need to be doing for next collection." And then they nod, a little shell shocked, and say, "oh OK".
And that, my friends, is how it is going to happen.
Well, not quite. Some designers are already dancing with the palazzo. And some will do it quite without my provocation. But one thing you can be sure of is that you will be wearing palazzos soon enough.
Just look at January Jones and Kourtney Kardashian rock out in theirs. I will be honest and say that a blue and white silk polka dot (or stripe) pair is a top my list of desirables...
Yay to the palazzo.
