The Art of Fashion

Sophia Vergara Is Just Like Us. Only Better. And Funnier. She's Columbian.
I was talking about my fantasy book club earlier and I got to thinking. The most fun possible person who I could invite to join book club can only be the stunning Sophia Vergara. Not only is she hilarious in all her interviews — exactly the type of self-deprecating humour that makes me want to be her friend — but she is also a fine actress and a proper, authentic, REAL woman. With those daily irritations of having to get a bra to fit and support and other such normal lady-problems.
She tweeted ahead of awards season about having put on a few pounds over the festive period and worrying about getting dresses for the awards to fit her. Not only have they been fitting (in all ways), but they have been magnificent. The honeysuckle Vera Wang for the Golden Globes, and the electric blue Cavalli for the SAGs were both sensational. And these less formal options were also good. The silver lace was worn to the Directors Guild of America awards last Saturday and I think it clears up those extra pounds. Apparently she has started exercising this year (like we have all promised to) and hopes that a trainer might keep her motivated. You see, just like one of us.
