We are having a bit of a Candice Swanepoel moment right now in the fashion world. She really is dominating. Yesterday saw the release of the campaign images for Prabul Gurung Spring 2012 — featuring a very brunette, twisted and tortured Candice, in shades of lilac print.
The photographer for this campaign was Daniel Jackson, and Tiina Laakkonen styled the shoot. I like the high contrast shades and the unexpectedness of the hair. The body shapes remind me of Sophie Dahl's Opium campaign, but we are told that it was inspired by artist Nobuyashi Araki’s photographic series, “Sensual Flowers”.
